Quality
Berringa’s products are not all exceptional by accident. Following what are almost certainly some of the most stringent quality control standards in the industry.
It all starts with the bees and beekeepers, of course – and much of Berringa's time is spent dealing with and understanding the challenges faced by beekeepers.
Once sourced, (only Australian) honey it is visually inspected and, if it is Manuka, the MGO (or methylglyoxal) levels independently verified by NATA accredited laboratories. All systems and processes to do with “Quality Assurance” are guided by FSSC 22000, a wide ranging and very demanding set of standards and requirements that are well recognised by professionals within the food industry.
Certified organic products in the range, meaning they are regularly externally audited to verify compliance with organic certification.
It doesn’t end there though, the products are also Halal and Kosher accredited and again subject to audits to ensure compliance with the relevant standards.
